Are you adding a follow-up program to a Track that has already had appointments? Then you don’t want the milestones of the new program to be completed right away because of those earlier appointments. With a start date, you decide from which day the program starts counting.
How does it work?
Milestones can be completed automatically based on the number of appointments in a Track. Without a start date, a program counts all appointments in the entire Track. Has the Track already had six appointments, and you add an extension with a “3 appointments” milestone? Then that milestone is checked off immediately.
If you set a start date, only appointments from that date onwards count. This applies to these conditions:
Number of passed appointments
Number of passed appointments of the same type
Other milestone conditions work as usual.
Choosing a start date when adding a program
Open the Track and go to Programs.
Click Add program +.
At the top of the window, Whole Track history is selected by default. Click Choose date.
Pick the start date in the calendar. You will now see something like From 2 November 2026.
Select the program you want to add.
The program card in the Track then shows from which date the program counts, for example Counts appointments and forms from 2 Nov 2026.
Want the whole Track history to count after all? Click the cross next to the selected date before you add the program.
No start date set
If you don’t choose a date, nothing changes. The program counts all appointments in the Track, just like before. Existing programs keep working as they do now.
Changing the start date later
You can also change a program’s start date afterwards. Before you confirm, you first see what the change means for the milestones.
Milestones that are already completed are not unchecked automatically. If you want to reset a milestone, do this manually.
Adding programs through a workflow
Do you add programs automatically with the workflow action Add program to Track? Then use Program start to choose how counting works:
From Track start: there is no start date and the whole Track counts. This is the default, so existing workflows keep working as they do now.
From run date: the program counts from the moment the workflow runs. If the workflow is triggered by an appointment earlier that day, that appointment does not count again for the new program.
Who can set the start date?
Only the Track Leader or someone with permission to manage other Tracks can set or change the start date. This works on both web and the mobile app.
