Why time zones matter

In Trackler, you may work with people across different time zones. To avoid confusion, Trackler ensures that everyone sees dates and times adjusted to their own local time.

How does it work?

  • Trackler automatically detects your time zone based on your device settings (computer or phone).

  • All time-related elements—appointments, notifications, deadlines—are shown in your local time.

  • If another user is in a different time zone, they will see the same events adjusted to their local time.

Example:
A coach schedules a session at 3:00 PM Amsterdam time.
A Trackee in London will see it as 2:00 PM local time.

Do I need to set my time zone manually?

Not necessarily. As long as your device is set correctly, Trackler will follow that time zone.

To check your current time zone:

  • On desktop: go to System Settings → Date & Time

  • On mobile: go to Settings → Date & Time → Time Zone

Set your time zone manually

You can override the default time zone via your Trackler profile:

  1. Click your avatar or initials in the top right corner

  2. Select Settings

  3. Open General Settings

  4. Find the Time zone field

  5. Select your desired time zone (e.g., Europe/Amsterdam)

  6. Click Save

Your time zone will apply immediately to everything you see in Trackler.

FAQ

  • What if my times look incorrect?
Double-check your system time zone. Trackler mirrors your device’s settings unless overridden.

  • Are times stored differently?
Yes. Times are stored internally in UTC (Universal Coordinated Time) but are always displayed in your local time.

  • Does my time zone affect others?
No. Everyone sees time-based information in their own local zone—so international coordination stays clear and consistent.
