Define who can see new notes by default: just you, Track Leaders, or everyone in the Track. This setting helps ensure notes are shared at the right level from the start.

Managing Note Settings

In Trackler, notes allow you to document observations, reflections, or important details within a Track. In the general Notes settings, you can define the default visibility for new notes.

Where to find the Notes settings

  1. Open the left-hand menu.

  2. Click Settings at the bottom.

  3. Navigate to Notes under App Settings.

Set default visibility

Under the General section, you'll find one key setting:

  • Visibility
Choose who should be able to see a new note by default when it's created. Options include:

    • Only you

    • You + other Track Leaders

    • Everyone in the Track (including Trackees)

Note: This sets the default visibility. You can still adjust the visibility for each individual note when creating or editing it.

Why adjust this?

Setting the right default helps avoid mistakes or confusion. If you often create private notes, choose “only me.” If you work in shared Tracks with colleagues, it’s useful to make notes visible to Track Leaders by default.
