Using Impersonation Access

Sometimes we’ll ask you to enable impersonation access. This allows us to temporarily view your account from your perspective so that we can access your workspace, a form, or a specific Track to quickly and accurately help you with your request or issue.

Why do we ask for impersonation access?

Impersonation access gives the Trackler support team temporary, secure access to your account. We use it only to support you more effectively, for example:

  • When something isn’t working correctly in a form or Track

  • When you ask us to update or change a setting in your workspace

  • When you need help setting up or testing a feature

Impersonation lets us see exactly what you see—without needing your password. Once you enable it, access remains active until the date shown on the screen. After that, it automatically expires.

How to enable impersonation access

  1. Log in to your Trackler account

  2. Click your workspace logo and select My Account

  3. In the left-hand menu, click Security

  4. Toggle on the switch next to Impersonation Access

  5. Click Save to confirm

Is this secure?

Yes. Only authorized support staff at Trackler can use this access. It’s strictly for helping you resolve an issue or complete a request. Your data remains fully protected, and access will automatically expire after the date shown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see what you’re doing during impersonation?
No, but any changes we make—like edits to forms or settings—will still be visible in your account as usual.

Do I need to disable impersonation manually when it’s no longer needed?
No. Access will automatically expire on the date shown.

Can I turn it off earlier?
Yes, you can go to My Account > Security at any time and switch it off manually.
