What happens if you remove yourself as a Track Leader from a Track?

When you add another Track Leader and then remove yourself from the Track, the role distribution automatically changes. Below we explain what happens and what you can still access afterwards.

Add another Track Leader

Before removing yourself from a Track, there must be at least one other Track Leader in the Track.

  1. Open the Track

  2. Go to Track settings (gear icon in the top right)

  3. Click Members

  4. Add a new user as Track Leader

Once multiple Track Leaders are present, one of them can act as the primary Track Leader.

Remove yourself from the Track

If you want to leave the Track:

  1. Go to Track settings

  2. Open Members

  3. Find yourself in the members list

  4. Click the options next to your name

  5. Select Remove from Track

When you remove yourself:

  • You leave the Track completely

  • Another Track Leader automatically becomes the primary Track Leader

What changes afterwards?

New primary Track Leader

The other Track Leader automatically becomes the primary Track Leader and is responsible for managing the Track and its members from that moment on.

What you can still do

If you still have the appropriate workspace permissions, you can still:

  • Access Track settings

  • Edit Track metadata or general settings

  • View Track information in reports, such as:

    • number of meetings

    • activity metrics

    • usage statistics

This is useful for administration or workspace management.

What you can no longer do

Because you are no longer a member of the Track, you cannot access the Track’s internal content.

You will no longer be able to:

  • View messages in the Track

  • Access the chat or timeline

  • View form submissions

  • Open form responses

  • Access shared files or documents

  • View widgets or Track content

All information inside the Track remains visible only to members of that Track.

When would you use this?

This can be useful when:

  • A coach transfers a trajectory to another coach

  • A team member is no longer involved in the Track

  • An administrator needs access to management or reporting without viewing the Track content

Removing yourself from the Track protects the privacy of the Track while still allowing workspace-level management and reporting.
