Changing a Program at Track Level

Each Track can follow a different program. You can override the default and apply a custom program for one specific Track — ideal for exceptions or one-off changes.

Updated over a month ago

In Trackler, you define your standard programs at the workspace level — typically based on journey type or target audience. But sometimes, you need to make an exception for one specific Track. For example:

  • You're working on an unusual case

  • One client requires a custom setup

  • You want to temporarily add or remove a step

In those cases, you can change the program on the individual Track itself. Here's how.

When would you change a program at Track level?

  • You’re using a standard program but want to make an adjustment for a single person

  • You want to add a few extra steps to just one Track

  • You want to use a different order of milestones for this case

  • You want to test a new version of a program on a single Track first

How to update the program on a Track

  • Go to the Track where you want to change the program

  • Find the Program section

  • Click the dropdown and select the updated or different program

  • The milestones and settings from the selected program will now load into the Track

  • Make any further customizations as needed

  • Review everything and inform the Trackee if relevant

Want to change the program itself?

If you want to edit the program for all future Tracks, make the changes in the general Program settings. You can find more information behind this link.

Important notes

  • Existing progress in the Track will remain; milestones that no longer exist will be hidden

  • Trackees only see the steps that are set to visible

  • Metadata is only visible to Track Leaders, not to Trackees
