Scheduler: Buffer Time

Prevent appointments from being scheduled back-to-back by setting buffer time before or after meetings. This ensures you have time for preparation, travel, or short breaks between sessions.

Updated this week

Where can you find these settings?

  1. Go to Meetings β†’ Schedulers

  2. Open an existing Scheduler or create a new one

  3. Click on Buffer Time

Buffer Before Appointment

With Buffer Before Appointment, you define how many minutes must remain free before a scheduled meeting.

Example:
If you set a 15-minute buffer, no other appointment can be booked directly before that session.

This is useful for:

  • Preparation time

  • Travel time

  • A short break

Buffer After Appointment

With Buffer After Appointment, you define how many minutes must remain free after a meeting.

This prevents appointments from being scheduled immediately after one another.

Example:
With a 15-minute buffer after a 60-minute session, 75 minutes will be blocked in your calendar.

Minimum Booking Notice

Here you define how much time must pass between the moment someone books and the actual appointment.

Example:
If you set 24 hours, someone cannot book an appointment for the same day.

This is useful when you:

  • Need preparation time

  • Want to prevent last-minute bookings

  • Work with structured planning

When should you use buffer time?

  • For in-person meetings that require travel

  • For intensive coaching sessions

  • When you want to avoid back-to-back bookings

  • To keep your schedule manageable and realistic

Buffer time helps create a sustainable and stress-free planning structure.
